Popsalot rocked the World Famous Apollo Theater

On June 4, 2009 Popsalot Gourmet Popcorn made its’ Apollo Theater debut! Popsalot partnered with Do Something.org to “honor people who stood up and did something to change the world.” Do Something.org’s event featured Usher, Damien Fahey, Akon & Friends, just to name a few. Among those receiving awards, Do Something.org gave out four life time achievement awards to: Matthew Diamond (co-founder/CEO of Alloy Media and Marketing), Sylvia Rhone (President, Universal Motown Records), Kim Kadlec (WW VP Global Marketing Group for Johnson and Johnson) and Darryl Wash (Founder and CEO of Ascend Ventures).

Popsalot donated products to be included in the gift bags as well as bulk product for everyone in attendance to snack on while enjoying the festivities. Cari Smulyan, the events coordinator for Do Something.org is quoted as saying “The popcorn was a huge hit!!!”
